“Fairy tales do not tell children that dragons exist.Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children the dragons can be killed.” ― G.K. Chesterton (20th Century writer)
I am a member of The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). The SCA is an international not-for-profit, educational organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe.
In 2008, I created an annual event aimed at encouraging children and youth to participate in our hobby. It Takes My Child to Raze a Village is built on Family-friendly activities that either teach about Medieval Life, or share knowledge about SCA Society (how and why we do things the way we do them.) Below are some photos of past events. For more information you can check out the Facebook page.
