Humankind has not woven the web of life.
We are but one thread within it.
Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.
All things are bound together. All things connect.

Eagles to Eagles 2015
In April 2015, I traveled with 12 other Pre-Service Teachers (and our three counselors) on a Service Trip to Arizona.
Each of us spent half a week in classroom working with Native American students. I worked with the best fourth graders ever! As a group, we helped with the Gifted & Talented Year-End Celebration Banquet!
We met incredible educators, like Kent & Jacquelyn Power who welcomed us and shared their amazing stories, and
Dr. Paul Kim, Chief Technology Officer & Assistant Dean, School of Education, Stanford University, who taught us about his projects: SMILE, PocketSchool, and Seeds of Empowerment.
We had a whirlwind adventure from Phoenix to Navajo Country and everywhere in between! We hiked the Grand Canyon, used a giant telescope to see Jupiter and a Supernova, went off-roading in a 15-passenger van, stayed in a Hostel, learned how to make fry bread, made friends everywhere we went, and learned more than we have words to describe.
